Toward what overwhelming question are we rolling?
M. C. Escher’s 1956 rendering of “The Gallery” provides for us a fitting image of our circumstance: the all-encompassing downward spiral to an unknown. If we truly were mere witnesses to this slow downfalling, if we were just standing aside like proto-mammals as the dinosaurs toppled — it would be easier to take. But this vortex pulls on all of us. It’s gravity disturbs all solid ground. Future shock and future awe.
Toward what overwhelming question?
Will we be able to fill in the blank center of Escher’s painting, before it absorbs us? Or does our future have a Schwarzschild radius — and we won’t see it until it’s already leaping upon us, licking or biting our faces?

Care to venture a guess, speculation, hunch?

Does anyone feel like forcing links to open in a new window? I’m already overwhelmed and confused when attempting to assimilate the information provided without also needing to re-open the window after I’ve accidently closed it for the umpteenth time…

Yeah, I’ll look into it, I was also thinking that. Shouldn’t be too hard to do… Hopefully this weekend a lot of things can be fixed.
